Maxim Moiseyev, a resident of Penza, has been granted compensation of 20,000 rubles for the criminal prosecution he faced. He was detained for refusing to accept the summons during the mobilization. The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case against him on the charges of evading military service. The man was apprehended and spent two days in temporary detention.

In early October, the prosecutor's office declared the criminal case as illegal. The head of the regional Investigative Committee faced disciplinary action. Moiseyev's case became the only one related to evasion from mobilization.

In Russia, individuals who refused to fight or left military units without authorization have received verdicts. A military officer from Vladimir was sentenced to 4 years in a penal colony for unauthorized abandonment of his place of service. He left his duty station when he learned of his mother's illness.

A man from Magadan asked for alternative civilian service due to his religious beliefs, which prohibited him from bearing arms. The court sentenced him to 3 years in a penal colony.
