Roman Nasryev, 27, and Alexei Nuriyev, 37, have been convicted of terrorism for attempting to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office in the Bakal administration building on October 11, 2022.  A Molotov cocktail thrown through the window caused damage to the linoleum and the information board. The fire was extinguished by a watchman. Nasryiev served as a senior sergeant of Rosgvardia and Nuriyev was a low-rank officer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

During the trial, the defendants claimed that their actions were motivated by their disagreement with the war in Ukraine, while Nasryev also mentioned the pressure from the investigator.

The state prosecutor demanded a 19-year prison sentence for each defendant, and the court agreed with this request. Nasryev and Nuriyev will spend the first four years in prison and have been stripped of their ranks.

In 2022, there were 77 recorded cases of arson attempts at military registration and enlistment offices in Russia, with at least 22 of them committed within the first week after Vladimir Putin announced mobilization. The arsonists include a sound engineer from the Irkutsk Region, a former member of the United Russia party from the Saratov Region, and a travel agent from the same area, among others, who are currently facing criminal charges.
