The head of the anti-corruption Department of the Penza region, Dmitry Gordeyev, has filed a complaint with Roskomnadzor against blogger Valentin Snegiryov

The head of the anti-corruption Department of the Penza region, Dmitry Gordeyev, has filed a complaint with Roskomnadzor against blogger Valentin Snegiryov. The official claims that the blogger’s publication violates his right to confidentiality of personal data. Roskomnadzor has given the blogger 10 days to remove the publication and warned him about the liability for repeated violation of the legislation on personal data.

The complaint was sparked by Snegiryov's story about Gordeyev's family and his daughter Marina Gordeyeva. Snegiryov says she "has been living in Spain for many years, has a house and a business there."

The publication mentions that Gordeyev, before his appointment as head of the anti-corruption department, worked as a deputy rector at Penza University. In this position, presenting diplomas to graduates of the university’s military training center he referred to the army as "one of the pillars of Russia." Snegiryov’s post about Gordeev has the headline "Patriot of Spain."

In 2021, Deputy Governor Sergey Fedotov filed a complaint regarding Snegiryov’s statement that in 2016 the official was placed on a federal wanted list. Fedotov denied the accuracy of the information. The police opened a criminal case on libel and placed the blogger on the national wanted list.
